What to eat on tirzepatide: a week of real meals.
There is no single tirzepatide diet. A practical approach prioritizes tolerated protein foods, regular fluids, fiber added gradually, and smaller balanced meals. Individual needs vary, and persistent vomiting, dehydration, or inability to eat requires contact with the prescriber.
Use a framework, not a rigid meal plan
Start each meal with a protein source, add produce or another fiber-containing food you tolerate, then add the starch or fat that makes the meal satisfying. Smaller portions may feel better than one large plate. Your medical history and nutrition needs still matter.
A realistic week of choices
Breakfast might be eggs and toast, Greek yogurt with fruit, or a balanced shake. Lunch can be soup with chicken or beans, a turkey wrap, or leftovers. Dinner can pair fish, chicken, tofu, or lean meat with vegetables and rice or potatoes. Repeating easy meals is allowed.
Plan for low-appetite days
Soft foods and smaller servings may be easier. Eat slowly, stop when comfortably full, and save the rest rather than forcing it. If intake or hydration stays low, or nausea and vomiting persist, contact the prescribing clinic instead of trying to solve it only with food rules.
Connect food to strength
Food supports the whole plan, including training and muscle retention. Read how much protein may fit a GLP-1 plan or see coaching and strength training with Tabby.
Results vary. Optimal Wellness Clinic currently prescribes compounded GLP-1 medications only when a licensed provider determines they are medically necessary and appropriate. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved or generic equivalents of branded products, and results from branded-drug trials do not establish results for compounded preparations.
